Dr. Raquel Quatrini completed her PhD in Microbiology at the U.Chile in 2004. Between 2004 and 2007 she pursued postdoctoral training in genome biology with Dr. Holmes at the Center for Bioinformatics and Genome Biology (Santiago, Chile) and Dr. Bonnefoy at the CNRS (Marseille, France). Since 2007 she is associate researcher at FCV, where she heads the Laboratory of Microbial Ecophysiology. Since 2010 she is a faculty member at UNAB. Research in the “Quatrini Lab” seeks to understand the genomic and functional potential of acidophilic microbiomes and the eco-evolutionary mechanisms underlying adaptative responses and linage divergence in acidic econiches.
